Riad La Lumière d’Étoile opened its doors in 2021. Giovanna, the manager, started her journey in Morocco over 20 years ago.
While exploring the country, she fell in love with Marrakech and its people, creativity, and climate and decided therefore to find a space.

The magic of a starry night
The Riad used to belong to an art collector and was filled with treasures, many of which can still be seen today.
The Riad’s name means “starlight,” and it was inspired by the energy
that Giovanna felt during her first trip to the Moroccan desert, seeing the starry sky of the Sahara.

Giovanna
Born in Switzerland but fell in love with the world. She is the manager of the riad and a dreamer. Passionated about interior design, she opened Riad La Lumière d’Étoile to pursue one of her many dreams.

The chef of the riad and the housekeeper. Ibrahim cooks one of the best tajine you will have in Marrakech.
